If you’ve driven down the R45 recently, you might have spotted a flurry of activity, some very leafy trucks, and a whole lot of gorgeous decor being lovingly unloaded. The cat is finally out of the bag: Wild Emporium is moving! We are packing up our favourite things and putting the final touches on our brand-new Simondium Lifestyle store.

To say we are excited would be a massive understatement. This move represents a huge leap forward for our team, and we wanted to take you behind the scenes of how our new space came to be, what inspired the design, and what you can expect when you step through our new doors later this month.

The Road to the R45

Our journey has always been about growth—both literally (thanks to our leafy green companions) and as a brand. When the opportunity arose to relocate up the road on the R45, right next to the beautiful Winelands Estate, we knew it was meant to be.

This prime new location makes it easier than ever for our community to find us. Whether you are a local resident, a weekend explorer from Cape Town, or a Winelands Estate neighbour popping over for quick garden inspiration, our Wild Emporium Lifestyle store is positioned to be your ultimate country-lifestyle pitstop.

The Inspiration: A Living, Breathing Sanctuary

When we began mapping out the layout of the new Simondium showroom, we wanted to move away from the traditional, structured shopping experience. Instead, we envisioned a fluid, organic sanctuary where the lines between the indoors and outdoors beautifully blur.

Our layout is inspired by the natural flow of a home. We’ve designed dedicated spaces where our curated, character-filled secondhand furniture and textured decor sit side-by-side with lush indoor plants. We want you to be able to touch the deep, rugged grain of a restored oak dining table while standing beside beautiful indoor plants. It's not just a shop; it's a sensory experience designed to show you exactly how nature and modern design can harmoniously coexist in your own living spaces.

What Awaits You at Our New Green Haven

So, what can you expect when you visit? Our Wild Emporium Lifestyle shop is greener than ever, stocked with everything from beginner-friendly houseplants to dramatic architectural statement plants.

Alongside the greenery, our showroom will house an ever-evolving collection of pre-loved, vintage furniture—each piece hand-selected for its unique story, texture, and craftsmanship. We’ve designed the space with plenty of natural light, cosy nooks, and inspiring styled corners to spark your creativity.

At its core, this new space is built for lingering. It’s a destination for premier lifestyle shopping in the Cape Winelands where you can slow down, run your hands over beautiful timber, breathe in the fresh oxygen of our nursery, and find the perfect pieces to make your house feel like a home.
